Don’t Change the Toilet Paper

I heard about a church that put out good toilet paper on weekends that they were going to have a lot of visitors – like Easter & Christmas – and then they take out the good Toilet Paper and put the cheap stuff back in the dispensers. I know it sounds crazy, but this kind of stuff really happens.

The problem comes when the visitors come back. You might have made a good first impression, but what about their second impression when the newness wears off? Shouldn’t we try just as hard to make a good 2nd & 3rd impression?

In some ways, I think we should try harder the weeks following big weekends because the newness is wearing off. If we want to impress them and keep them feeling like we really care about them, we need to keep upping the ante.

So here’s my advice – don’t change the toilet paper!
